I used to have a lovely office building in Taos and enjoyed practicing all kinds of law. But now, I have decided only to practice estate law in a more personalized manner, working from home and, if necessary, I will come to your home.
What is Estate Planning?
It is making sure that your wishes are carried out after you pass away. I want to make sure that your loved ones mourn your passing rather than worrying about how to administer your estate or, what, if anything, did they leave me?
Not everyone needs a Will! But you most likely need a Power of Attorney for Property and a Power of Attorney for Health Care. These documents speak for you if you cannot speak for yourself. Should you be unable to transact business on your behalf, someone has to and the Power of Attorney for Property will do just that. And, your Power of Attorney for Health Care tells your loved one and your doctor how you want to be treated in your final days.
Your wishes might include a Will but, not to worry! A purposefully drafted Will is easy and affordable to probate in our state.
Want to avoid probate? A Revocable Trust will accomplish this and it stays a secret! Also, it can be changed any time your needs change.
I offer solutions that other attorneys might not have thought of. And, when your estate plan is done, I promise, you will feel a great sense of relief!
Think about it and give me a call!
